12. A picture of Dylan for his birthday
It’s November 21st, Dylan’s birthday. Here’s a picture of him in Colonia Roma, where I lived for a bit in Mexico City.

When I bought the plants in my apartment in Brooklyn I bought a number of plants found on Mexico City streets. It felt like too much of a metaphor when the same plants that grow wild and strong while unattended in Mexico sidewalks will shrivel and always be about to die in Brooklyn just because I give them unfiltered tap water.
From the contact sheets here’s Dylan on a Brooklyn morning back in February. This stretch helps with leg pain after traveling on a plane, which feels fitting since he just got back from a short trip.
