18. A picture of a hand
ROLL 402 | FRAME 21
Alejandro, Atizapán, August 2022.
When I was a teenager my mother bought me an Antonioni book and a Buñuel book. In both, there was a section where it would tell you their obsessions and recurrent imagery. When I’m editing a show, as I was just now, my own become obvious to me. I like hands, I have always had. I remember being obsessed with The Cathedral by Rodin and the hands in religious paintings. Here is a picture of my dad, with the sheepskin he uses as a yoga matt.
From the contact sheets, my dad exercising.
